Motivation!!!

Ok-so I think I just got the motivation I need to FINALLY get my butt in gear and FINALLY stick to a work-out/diet program. Our family went to see our horses tonight and I always get cold so I had about 5 layers on, including a bulky jacket. Then we had to run to the store so I was not looking my best (hay in my hair; ugly jacket on). I saw a girl from my ward there and she came up and said, "Ok- I have to be nosy. Are you pregnant cause your stomach is stickin' out." Awesome!!!! I looked down and did look quite pregnant cause my jacket's zipper made a natural, poke-out curve right on my stomach (not to mention the extra fat underneath-I swear having kids 12 months apart ruins your body forever. My stomach will never return to normal until after the tummy tuck that I'm totally planning on having after I'm done having kids).

I actually like to work-out but only will do it if I go to the gym. I'm not much of work-out-at-home girl; I always end up finding other things to do. The only problem with this is that Jim goes out of town a lot-he just got back from being gone for 6 days. I'll do really good for a couple of weeks, and then Jim goes out-of-town and I lose all motivation because I can't get to the gym. I know, Excuses, Excuses!!! I could take all my kids to the gym daycare, but when it breaks out with hand-foot-and-mouth disease every year, I don't even want to get near.

So anyway, whether Jim's home or not, I've got my clothes set out for tomorrow morning, my slim-in-6 dvd in the player (I love this workout!!!), and my resistance bands ready to go. The "pregnant" comment was just the kick in the butt that I needed. I'm probably the only person this has happened to since all the rest of you are so naturally tiny. Have I mentioned I hate you all!!!!

AHAHAHAAA!! Christine, I feel so much the same way! And I feel your pain about not having an opportunity to go to the gym. I have had the same struggle since my second was born. My husband leaves at 5am and is gone for 12 hour days. When he gets home, who wants to go to the gym? Arg. I try to workout at home, and sometimes it works, but I am much more focused and consistent if I can go to the gym. I know several moms leave their kids in day care and it is fine, but I just can't bear it. I just can't!

And yes, babies have ruined my stomach forever too. Little did I know in high school that I looked just fine, not fat like I thought. Now I lament the loss of the high school body forever!! I'm SOOOO with you, girl!!! Skinny mommies (you rock) I hate you!!

Christine-
I know excatly how you feel, I was at a R.S. function and a girl in my ward came and asked me if I was expecting. I said "no, just fat".
She turned so red. I just want to slap people who ask others that. That is something you never ask someone unless you are 100% sure. I also know what you mean about working out. I suck at it! I just need to have someone to do it with so that they make sure I do it everyday. If you find a good workout and diet that works let me know, I could use all the help I can get!

Christine- I think you look awesome! But somebody needs to tell those people to keep their mouths closed!!! It is nice when we find motivation for something- even if it doesn't necessarily come the way want it!

Hey- last time I saw you your youngest was still a baby and you looked way good!! BUT, when you "feel" good is what matters most, right? I would love to know what DVD you're talking about- I'm actually not going to wait a whole year to start workin off baby fat this time. I need good workouts to keep me motivated.

Just a pointer, get some friends to drag you out & keep you going. I have a couple friends who did that for me last year. We actually were very open about our weight, would pull each other out jogging, & then have weigh-ins when we got back. Talk about accountability!! It worked great & I kept it up all year (until I was prego of course).

Christine,

Don't let that comment get you down. You look great but I know when there is something you want to change it always bothers you. I can't belive someone said that to you. If you want to (eventhough my kids are harder than yours) we can trade off every day or every other day so we can go separtate while we watch the other persons kids. I understand about the day care there and the cost doesn't help but it is my break. You are great!
